It’s that time of year again—the air is crisp, the flakes are fallin’, and the lake is an extra brilliant shade of blue. What a perfect time to come for a visit! Whether you’ve visited for years or you’re planning your first winter visit to Wapato Point—we have plenty of resort activities to help you and your loved ones make the most of your winter vacation.
Learn to Skate
Our ice rink is a great opportunity to experience a unique winter sport. Opening Thanksgiving weekend, our outdoor ice rink is seasonally available during the winter months. Bundle up the family, get the hot chocolate ready, and test your skill at cutting figure eights on the ice. Don’t have your own skates? We’ve got you covered with ice skate rentals at the kiosk.
Take Home S’mores Kits
This year, we provide an intimate way for you to gather ’round the fire. For your safety, the outdoor firepit will not be available this winter, but s’mores kits can still be purchased and skewers can be checked out so you can roast s’mores in your in-unit fireplace! There’s no better way to end a snowy Lake Chelan day than roasting marshmallows with your friends and family.
Soak and Splash
We keep our indoor pool and hot tub heated and ready for you all season long. Whether you are in serious training for your next triathlon or just want to splash around, our indoor pool fits every swimmer’s need. The indoor hot tub is also open year-round with a glass ceiling for star gazing and watching the changing seasons while relaxing in the warmth of the tub, which is maintained between 102 and 104 degrees all year. Unwind after shopping in town, a day on the slopes, or an evening of ice skating!
Other Activities
We provide daily activities that change regularly throughout the winter season. This year, to keep our employees and guests safe, kiosk activities throughout the week will be take-home kits to enjoy! With a wide variety of arts and crafts, from ceramics and coloring pages to DIY puzzles and magnets, we are confident your children will have a great time getting creative from the comfort of your unit.
